2. Products

All candles and reed diffusers are handmade in small batches in Hampshire. Due to the handmade nature of our products, minor variations in colour, texture and finish may occur between batches. These are not defects.

Made-to-order products are produced after your order is placed. Please allow up to two weeks from order to dispatch unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

3. Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price shown at the time of your order will always be honoured.

4. Orders & Payment

By placing an order you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. Payment is taken at the time of order. We accept major credit and debit cards via our secure payment provider.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, in which case a full refund will be issued promptly.

5. Delivery

We aim to dispatch all orders within the timeframe stated on the product page. Delivery times are estimates and may vary. We are not liable for delays caused by postal or courier services outside our control.

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us within 48 hours of receipt if any items are damaged.

6. Returns & Refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt without giving a reason, provided the product is unused, in its original packaging and in a resaleable condition.

To initiate a return, please contact us at [email] within 14 days of receipt. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrectly sent.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

Please note: made-to-order and personalised products are exempt from the standard 14-day return right under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations unless they are faulty.

7. Product Safety — Candles

For your safety, please read all care instructions before use:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended

• Keep away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials

• Burn on a heat-resistant surface

• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time

• Keep the wax pool clear of debris and trim the wick to 5mm before each burn

• Stop use when 10mm of wax remains

• The vessel will become hot during use — handle with care

• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources when not in use

Scent of Adventure candles are made with 100% natural soy wax and lead-free cotton and linen wicks.

All fragrance oils used are vegan and paraben-free.

8. Product Safety — Reed Diffusers

• Keep out of reach of children and pets

• Do not ingest — fragrance oils are not suitable for consumption

• Avoid contact with eyes, skin and surfaces — fragrance oil can cause irritation and may damage polished, painted or plastic surfaces if spilled

• Place on a stable, protected surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources

• Keep away from open flames

• If skin contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water

• If eye contact occurs, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists

• Store upright at all times

Full Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all fragrance oils used are available on request.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on scentofadventure.com — including copy, photography, branding and product descriptions — is the property of Scent of Adventure and may not be reproduced without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Scent of Adventure shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our products, provided that all safety instructions have been followed. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
